Creative Leadership Learning |
|
Learning is, and should be the core purpose of schools. In essence, these days: “If you can’t learn, unlearn and relearn, you’re lost because sustainable and continuous learning is a given of the twenty-first century”1. However we construe the outcomes of schooling, we have to ensure that every child and young person is “equipped to seize learning opportunities throughout life, to broaden her or his knowledge, skills and attitudes, and to adapt to a changing, complex and interdependent world“2. This means paying much greater attention than ever before to the processes of learning, to personalising learning3, and to learning to learn more effectively: “the key skill of the century”4. What’s more, a growing body of evidence highlights that learning about learning enhances performance.
