Seng Kang Primary, a ‘community of happy learners,’ is a neighbourhood
school, led by the effervescent and visionary head Mrs Lew-Lim Lan Chin.
It is situated in Seng Kang, a new-town development (the equivalent to
Bradley Stoke in South Gloucestershire), serving a young multi- cultural
population, some of which who are recent arrivals in Singapore. The
buildings are relatively new, with a field for football and outdoor
sports, a large playground and a huge hall.
‘Motivated, Healthy and Well-balanced Pupils,’ is cited as being a
desired outcome of the school, and the strong emphasis on P.E, with
lessons timetabled daily is helping to achieve this.
