Victoria School had its origin in an English Class established in 1876 in Kampong Glam Malay School. Until 1930, there were only primary classes and the school did not become a secondary until 1931. The school’s website outlines its rich history and many achievements. Consistently highly achieving, in 1993 Victoria School was one of the six pioneer schools receiving autonomous status and is today a premier secondary school. In May 2003, the school moved to its current site at Siglap Link, the fifth location since Victoria School's founding in 1876.

Victoria’s mission, ‘To be a premier school recognised for our rich tradition of excellence and our ability to groom upright and balanced individuals with leadership qualities. We are dedicated to instilling in Victorians a spirit of achievement, and nurturing them into becoming innovative and respectable leaders,’ is a driving force, with staff and pupils alike taking immense pride in both the school and it’s numerous achievements, both academic and extra-curricular.

SCHOOL CREST
The open book symbolises lifelong learning.
The torch symbolizes truth and the passing on of a tradition. It also illuminates the way of Victorians who venture forth to excel beyond the shores of Singapore.
