Colombia> Young Musicians Visit October 2006
The most recent ‘connection’ was a visit to three cities in Colombia
over the October break with Young Musicians from all over the SW,
including five from South Gloucestershire schools, giving concerts as a
Chamber Orchestra and holding joint workshops with Colombian players
including some old friends from the Amadeus project in Medellin.
This is an e-mail from a double bass player from Dorset sent immediately
after her return to the UK.
‘I just wanted to say an enormous thank you to everyone who organised
and helped with the Colombian tour.
It was the best trip I’ve ever been on and a brilliant experience. I
hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!!
Please pass on my thanks to the staff from South Gloucestershire, Bath
and Gloucestershire.
Hopefully you’ll be able to take more people out there so they can
appreciate how incredible it is too.
