Colombia> Visit - July 2005
The visit in July 2005 with the four South Glos staff was a
life-changing and humbling experience for most and the following
comments were made on their immediate return:
‘The total commitment of all involved, a culture of love, humility,
respect and social strength can only confirm the power that music plays
in this project.’
‘I’m coming back to South Glos Music Service with new ideas including
motivation, group teaching and mentoring and with a renewed sense of my
own commitment to teaching and to music’.
‘Music is being used in what is essentially a social project’
‘A non-competitive, equal and democratic project’
‘A fantastic example of the power of music to change lives and to give
children a sense of purpose and self-esteem’.
‘It was difficult to separate the head from the heart’.
